Rajaji National Park is located in the foothills of the Shivalik range near the foothills of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand. This national park is spread across three districts: Haridwar, Dehradun, and Pauri Garhwal. Known for its rich biodiversity and vibrant wildlife, it covers an area of 820 sq km. The national park is renowned for its population of elephants, tigers, leopards, and various bird species, making it a prime destination for nature enthusiasts. Access to the Rajaji National Park from most of the country is quite easy as it is only 244 km from the national capital through the Delhi-Panipat Expressway and NH334. There are convenient overnight trains from Delhi to Haridwar and Dehradun, from where the visitors access the national park. Visitors can also fly to Jolly Grant Airport, which is located at a distance of about 26 km from the Motichur gate of the Park.

By Rail

The nearest railway station to Rajaji National Park is Haridwar Junction, located approximately 10 km away. Haridwar is well-connected to major cities across India, with regular train services from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and other key destinations. From the railway station, taxis and buses are readily available to reach the park.
